Hello world! Welcome to my life adventure!

Simply a woman, humanitarian, wife and a mother and loved by four of my children, owner and designer of the Alfa-Kos Designs.  I am currently writing my first book and you can check it out the website www.gracekostamo.com for more of my adventurous journey with living life of freedom in Christ together with my family.

I reside right on Tabor lake just 12km outside Prince George City, BC, Canada. I originally come from the Philippines. For those of you who do not know where that is, it is in the Atlas! …Teeheehee… I moved to Zambia Africa with my family when I was 10 yrs old. We have lived there for 12 years and have adapted the African cultures. I met my amazingly nerdy Canadian husband there when I was 21 and got married there. He was working as a missionary at HAM (Heart of Africa Mission)  under organisation of ACOP Canada. While living there I joined the missionary team at the (HAM): building local churches, bible schools/dorms, and taught some locals about farming/agriculture, children ministry, and some outreach trips sharing the Gospel to various interesting places- urban and rural areas.

I moved to Canada year 2002 with my husband & settled here & started a family. I became a Canadian citizen and adapted the western culture as well. We have four children: two boys ages 7 and 8, and twin girls ages 6. I love Africa so much that I consider it still my home. I have so many memories there that most of my paintings are inspirational about the African lifestyle; & my other short trips & experiences from different places e.g. Vancouver islands, Singapore, India, Philippines, St. Kitts islands, Dominican Republicana in the Caribbean- just to name a few. I love searching for inspirational things that would inspire me most from my travel experiences around the world- whenever I get the opportunity to go. Then I would take home those inspirational memoirs with me and paint them- capturing the natural beauty and simply blending in with different cultures or walks of life in this awesome world that God created.

Creative crafts: woodworking i.e. using old furniture and transform it into a stunning functional piece of furniture for my home use; & framing mirrors with decorative stone tiles or ceramic tiles around the solid wood frame- I love using solid wood for framing my artwork and mirrors ,& making other kinds of home decor crafts. Other crafts I enjoy making & designing are the "mini-ponchos", & unique scarves.
